Our philosophy is to first be certain that we understand the requirements of the client fully. Not just having the basic job description and compensation plan, but getting details on the background and personality of the applicant they are seeking, as well as the background of the hiring authority are critical. It is also important to ascertain the reason for the vacancy and the background of the previous employee if it is a replacement. Understanding the background and traits of others within the company that are considered successful is also invaluable.
In addition, it is necessary to fully understand the interview process and the time frame in which the employer needs it completed. The number, type, and location of interviews, psychological testing, skills testing, background checks, pre-employment physicals, etc. all play a part in the recruiting process.
We then begin the process of contacting all potentially qualified candidates for each position, determine their level of interest, and then present only those that meet the client's requirements exactly and are truly motivated to pursue the new career opportunity as outlined. It is extremely important that each position be represented accurately in terms of salary, earnings potential, opportunity for advancement, scope of responsibility, relocation requirements, and benefits package. If these things aren't presented in detail at the very beginning of the process, there is a distinct possibility of having candidates reject offers at the conclusion-due to invalid expectations.
